Hi, I am Sensei Colin, Head Instructor and co-founder of Mindsparx Karate & Kickboxing here in Aberdeen. When I first stepped into a dojo at sixteen, I had no idea how much that moment would change my life. I was nervous, unsure, and wondering if I truly belonged there. What I found instead was encouragement, focus, and a community that believed in me long before I believed in myself.
That experience sparked a lifelong passion for helping others find their own strength, both physically and mentally. Kickboxing became one of my favourite ways to do that. It challenges the body, clears the mind, and builds confidence through movement, discipline, and consistency.
With more than twenty-five years in martial arts, I have learned that the power of kickboxing goes far beyond technique. It teaches resilience, sharpens focus, and helps you reconnect with what your body and mind are capable of achieving.
Our Kickboxing Programme is open to students 10 and over, whether you are new to training, returning after time away, or looking for a fresh challenge that reignites your drive.
